PULSE
Know your ServiceNow position before the renewal does
PULSE is a consumption and value advisory service. It gives you an honest, structured view of what you use, what you need and what you have bought, so decisions happen on your timetable rather than the contract's.
Most organisations only assemble a serious view of ServiceNow consumption when a renewal forces the question. By then the options have narrowed and the conversation defaults to price.
PULSE brings that work forward. It is advisory, not a licence audit: the aim is understanding and options, expressed in the four views below.
The four views
Together these turn raw usage data into a decision you can actually make.
Current view
The honest picture of your usage and consumption today: ITOM Subscription Units, users and roles, deployed products and real activity.
Efficient need
The realistic lower operating boundary: what your organisation genuinely requires to run well, stripped of drift and duplication.
Purchased boundary
The available upper boundary: what you have bought and could be using, including capability that is licensed but not yet adopted.
Gap closure
The practical actions that move between these positions: efficiency improvements, adoption work and value realisation, in priority order.
How the engagement works
- Workshop90 minutes
- DiagnosticOptional, 5 to 10 days
- Optimisation sprintTargeted action
The workshop establishes the questions and the shape of your current position. The diagnostic adds depth where it is useful. The sprint turns agreed findings into delivered improvement. You can stop after any stage with something valuable in hand.
PULSE is for you if
- A renewal is approaching and you want options before negotiation starts.
- Consumption is becoming a commercial concern.
- Platform value is being challenged internally.
- Products have been purchased but adoption is unclear.
- Usage data exists but nobody has time to interpret it properly.
Frequently asked questions
Is PULSE a licence audit?
No. PULSE is an advisory service. The purpose is to help you understand your consumption, adoption and value and identify practical options, not to police compliance. You stay in control of the findings and what happens with them.
How much time does it take from our team?
The starting point is a 90 minute workshop. If deeper analysis is useful, an optional diagnostic runs for 5 to 10 days with light touch input from your team. Any optimisation sprint that follows is scoped and agreed separately.
What do we get at the end?
A clear articulation of the four views for your platform: current position, efficient need, purchased boundary and the gap closure actions, expressed in terms you can take into internal discussions or a renewal conversation.
When is the right time to run PULSE?
Ideally months before a renewal or a budget decision, while there is still time to act on what it finds. It is also valuable whenever platform value is being questioned internally.
Start with a 90 minute PULSE workshop.
Book a discovery call and we will set it up: one session, an honest picture, and a clear view of whether deeper analysis is worth it.
