Who we are

NowBench Ltd ("NowBench", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14115612, with our registered office at Belmont Suite, Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, England, BL6 6HG. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.

What data we collect and why

We collect personal data in the following situations:

  • Contact form and email enquiries. When you contact us we collect your name, email address, company, role if provided, the topic you select and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss our services with you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to enquiries you initiate.
  • Business relationships. If you become a customer or supplier we process contact and contractual information as necessary to perform the contract and to meet our legal obligations.
  • Website analytics. With your consent, we use analytics services to understand how the website is used. See our cookie policy for details. Where we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, it operates without cookies and without tracking individuals.
  • Security and spam prevention. Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes limited technical information to distinguish people from automated abuse. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in keeping the website secure.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare), our email delivery provider for contact form messages, and our business email provider. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the relevant standard contractual clauses, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow up conversation, and no longer than necessary. Contractual and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, and data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, email info@nowbench.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to address your concern first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date it was last updated.
